Following lengthy consultation and open day events over the last 18 months we have sought the views of local residents, park users and friends groups about our park restoration proposals. Following the consultation the Council was successful in obtaining a £1.5m ‘heritage’ grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

This project will deliver a new wetland area, more trees and plants providing greater biodiversity and new habitats, new footpaths and bridges, new play equipment, restoring the Yeading Brook including deculverting which will help provide better flood protection for the museum buildings and improve water quality for the historic moat and park.

We have appointed Ground Control Ltd for the construction phase and they have commenced the work which is scheduled for completion in March 2020 with the exception of some planting that may be subject to seasonal constraints.
