Housing and Homelessness strategies

We’re updating our housing strategies and want to hear what you think is important. You’ll be helping to guide our work over the next five years and tackle the biggest housing issues in Harrow. There have been some changes since our strategies were last reviewed, such as Universal Credit and new housing and homelessness laws. Harrow has a very small social housing stock and very few properties become available every year. There is a high demand for housing. The main reason for homelessness in Harrow is the loss of private rented housing. Most homeless households will be helped to find private rented housing rather than social housing.

Grange Farm Close - stopping up order

The council proposes to permanently close (or stop up) Grange Farm Close. This is required for phase one of the Grange Farm redevelopment to go ahead, work on which is anticipated to start soon. The council is obliged to conduct a four-week consultation on the proposal, giving anyone with an objection a chance to register it.

Council Tax Support

Harrow Council is proposing to make changes to its Council Tax Support scheme. We're interested in hearing your views. Please read the consultation documents before answering the questions in this survey.
